High school students and students with fewer than 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours of university-level credit beyond secondary school should apply as freshman applicants. Studielink is the national online system for students who would like to pursue a degree programme at a Dutch university. After you have registered in Studielink, you will need to submit your UvA application in MyInfo by the deadline applicable to you see below.
A DigiD Digital Identification is an online ID username and password that provides access to government administration websites. After submitting your enrolment application in Studielink, you will receive an email with your UvAnetID. So make sure to register in Studielink at least 1 week before the application deadline.
If you have not yet obtained your diploma, please submit your most recent transcript of grades as well as your predicted grades. The outcome of the application will be sent to you by email. Students select one of the following Areas of Emphasis and work with their assigned advisors to determine which courses to take. The internship requires clock hours of applied work focused on a professional setting that is related to the student's developing expertise. Students can complete the internship in 3-credit increments clock hours over two semesters or during one intensive semester of 6 credits clock hours.
Students create a Field Study portfolio, which is juried by faculty as the assessment for this program requirement.
Students complete a Capstone Project that encompasses three core components: 1 submitting and defending a written proposal; 2 conducting research and writing your Capstone Project; and 3 defending your Capstone Project.All applicants must complete an Application for Admission.

Completed portfolio evaluations are shared with the admission committee and are considered as part of the overall application review.
These portfolios are not required to enroll in arts-related classes at the University of Virginia and will only be used for the admission process.
